Mac Code

Here is an implementation of the ddate (discordian date) command I did for classic MacOS. It added a happy little GUI and it worked on both PPC and 68k Macs. You could even speak the discordian date using the built in Text-To-Speech support the Mac had (and still has). Yes, it was overkill. But, it was fun at the time 🙂

BTW — there is probably resource forks in the files in the archive. If you want to actually still use them, you’ll need to use the version of tar that is included in MacOS X 10.4 and later. Otherwise, any decent tar implementation should be fine to use.
